Description

Cinnamon sticks are actually pieces of dried bark from the Ceylon Cinnamon tree. This tropical tree, growing in Sri Lanka and reaching 10 to 15 meters in height, is cultivated for this sought-after spice. From the Latin "canna," meaning "reed," cinnamon has been a spice used for millennia in cooking for its incomparable flavor and aroma. It was even reputed to be an aphrodisiac.

Unlike the spice, organic Cinnamon essential oil is not derived from the bark but from the leaves of the Cinnamomum zeylanicum. Thanks to steam distillation, the pure and natural cinnamon essence retains a powerful aroma that is both warm and sweet.

Cinnamon essential oil is known for its purifying and toning properties, particularly appreciated during cold seasons.
